Jim and Shawna Tietsort are the youth pastors here at City Church. They have been in this ministry for a little over four years now and have seen the youth group grow from 6 kids with their first group to a group that sits anywhere from 50 to 90 kids on any given night! Jim and Shawna do not believe that numbers equal success but are driven by the passion that they have to see youth come to Jesus.
Jim and Shawna have been married since 1992 and have two children. Unite youth has become a family event for the Tietsorts and even though the unique, at-risk nature of the youth can present some interesting challenges the whole family sees it as a growing experience with God. Jim and Shawna have a huge vision for reaching the youth of the tri-cities, it includes but is not limited to building a youth center, being able to provide a shelter for homeless youth, and reaching out to those kids that society views as untouchable!
